500 Chairs for the AFL Grand Final, Melbourne

September 08
This was the first large scale outdoor event installation by Paper Tiger. 500 chairs with a limited edition print for Coke were installed in front of the large outdoor screening area in Federation Square. The stools took only two hours to assemble after arriving flat-packed on-site. The event was a major success with the majority of the stools taken home by the punters at the day's end. The remainder were collected on-site for recycling by Visy.

Paper Tiger sponsored RMIT students involved in a pavilion design for the Retail Design Expo held at The Melbourne Exhibition Centre.

Paper Tiger collaborated with lighting designer Volker Haug at this year's Design Made Trade event held in the Royal Exhibition Building.

Launch Pad Awards

Paper Tiger had 2 products selected as finalists for the Indesign Launch Pad Awards. The Belkiz Feedaway with Betul Madakbas and Prism Bookshelf(shown).
Red Bull
April 09

Paper Tiger was commissioned to design a lighting installation for Red Bull for the 2009 Australian Grand Prix. A large hung ceiling of fractured light was created for the event.
Life In Style
March 09

Paper Tiger supplied tables and chairs to the recent Life In Style trade-fair in Sydney. Life in Style is a showcase of products for the boutique design-retail buyers market.

Carlton Football Club Family Day

Paper Tiger supplied tables and chairs to the Carlton Football Club pre-season Family Day event. It was a sunny summer day, and the supporters came out in droves.
Sustainability Victoria Expo Stand

Paper Tiger supplied tables and stools to the Sustainability Victoria Stand, sponsors of the Save Water Save Energy Expo in Melbourne's Exhibition Building.
State of Design Festival

New York Gift Fair 2008

Paper Tiger Stools were represented by Designs Abroad in New York with a group of prominent Australian designers. The stools were made from Echo Panel felt board, which contains 60% recycled PET.
New Product Launch

Anthony launched the Prism Light at the State of Design Festival. Each triangle of the light is a modular unit capable of building into an entire wall or ceiling installation, and has been commissioned by Red Bull and Knog.
Volley Cafe, Melbourne
April 08
Paper Tiger supplied custom-designed furniture to a new Melbourne metropolitan cafe. Volley is run by two budding entrepreneurs with a flair for coffee and tennis.

Knog International Trade shows
October 07
Knog commissioned Paper Tiger to design a trade show environment to exhibit their brave new range of bags and lights. The traveling show hopped from Germany to the US, Taiwan and finished in Australia. The wall spanned 16 metres and packed down into a small box for shipping.

  Bombay Sapphire Design Awards
September 07
The Paper Tiger Stool was a finalist at the annual Bombay Sapphire Design Discovery Awards with special guest Ron Arad. Anthony Dann was one of 4 designers to receive a runner-up prize in the most valuable design competition for emerging design in Australia.
 
State Of Design Festival
September 06
Paper Tiger was commissioned to design a series of towers made from cardboard for the the first Melbourne Design Guide book launch. The launch coincided with the other festival's activities, and was perfectly timed to illuminate the growing ranks of talented Melbourne designers and architects.
