The Aquilizan Studio: Making it Home invites school and community groups to build their own cardboard “dream homes” through workshops. Created by the Art Gallery of New South Wales for Dreamhome: Stories of Art and Shelter, the space reflects Filipino-Australian artist duo Isabel and Alfredo Aquilizan’s migration experiences and their exploration of what “home” means. Their exhibition features a striking cardboard city sculpture, incorporating some workshop creations, with others displayed in the studio space.
As lovers of all things cardboard, Paper Tiger were pleased to be engaged to provide sets of furniture to the workshop space.
